Falling into the abyss

And I’m back again, summer is almost in full swing and the bike (could I say) is getting too much use. I have managed to rack up 3000+ already, but the mileage might go down a bit over the summer (I’ll explain later).

Michael now has is M2 license, and he also picked up a sweet Triumph motorcycle for a good price, it is this big beast called a SpeedMaster. Jush and I have taken Michael out for a ride, he’s still a rusty and needs to learn a little bit more but he seems to be getting the hang of it nicely. As of this morning he seemed a little bit wary about going out on his own, but that’s changing with time as his confidence level needs to rises. Soon he will want to leave his car at home all the time, he will have an easier time than me and Josh because his bike as saddlebacks. The one thing that he might have problems with is that is mom disapproves of the bike, and Mike is the type of person than really does not want to upset her, he is what you can call a mama’s boy.
😉

Now to the reason my mileage will be going down over the summer, I was informed yesterday that the guy I was replacing will be returning June 1. My bosses were very apologetic, but the fact that I was signed to a contract depended on the other guy returning, their hands were tied, but they will be keeping me on to re-train him again for a few weeks. They also said they will say in touch if a spot opens up, and from what I heard there should be one in the fall… I’ll keep my hopes up, but it’s not something I can bank on. I’ve talked to Lynda/Jamie and I can grab a few extra shifts at the store so I don’t get too broke.
So it’s time to go on the hunt again.

So ya…

  1. sucks dude.. it’s just a matter of time before another job pops up. Who knows, he may still get a teaching job. I dont believe they finish the hiring till mid-late summer. Once they have the enrollment numbers.
